Electrostatic dissipative (ESD) injection molding plastics are available from Celanese.  Electrostatic dissipation or discharge is critical in many electronic and industrial applications.  CoolPoly ESD plastics prevent unwanted charge build-up on the surface of molded parts that could otherwise transfer to sensitive components.  The uncontrolled static discharge can harm or destroy sensitive components.  The controlled surface and bulk resistivity of CoolPoly ESD plastics allows the proper rate of charge dissipation in electronic and hazardous material applications. 

Specific uses include the handling and storage of electronic components and the processing of hazardous materials to eliminate concerns over fire or explosion.

CoolPoly ESD plastics also have enhanced thermal conductivity. The improved heat transfer reduces molded in stresses and allows thick sections to be injection molded.

CoolPoly E5107 is used to injection mold parts requiring electrostatic dissipation (ESD) in electronic, hazardous material, and other applications.

Parts molded from CoolPoly thermally conductive ESD plastic provide:
