CoolPoly thermally conductive injection molding grade thermoplastics are ideal for molding 3-dimensional, net-shape printheads for inkjet and other printing technologies. CoolPoly thermally conductive plastics have a low coeffecient of thermal expansion (CTE), enabling the manufacture of parts with tight dimensional control, a high degree of flatness and very little expansion with temperature.

CoolPoly thermally conductive plastics are used to injection mold printhead and printhead components for inkjet and other advanced printing technologies used in consumer and commercial printers.

 

Printheads and printhead components molded from thermally conductive plastics provide:

  • Controlled thermal expansion (similar to alumina)

  • Spreading and dissipation of localized heat 

  • 3-dimensional complexity

  • Net shape molding

  • Tight dimensional tolerance

  • Lightweight

  • Low cost
