CoolPoly thermally conductive injection molding grade thermoplastics are well suited for molding 3-dimensional net shape plastic molds used in the manufacture of other products. This concept is sometimes referred to as “mold the mold”. Injection moldable molds are required in industries that; produce extremely high piece part quantities (e.g. food), require long cycle times inside the mold (e.g. candles), and require disposable tooling (e.g. medical).

Conventional plastics can be fabricated into mold shapes, however, they do not transfer the heat required to cool the molded material.

CoolPoly thermally conductive plastics are used to injection mold parts that serve as tooling or molds to manufacture products in the food, health, consumer, industrial and medical industries.

Tooling and molds manufactured from thermally conductive plastics  provide:
